Just another Sunday...

First, we take 5 quick seconds to divest the bookshelf of every single toy, book and shoe within our reach, scattering them up and down the hallway (Mama must think this is a great game, because she always picks them right back up and replaces them for us). Aidan steals a dishtowel and proceeds to "dust" the empty bookcase -- he's a great help to Mama, dusting the emptied-out bookcase many times each day!

Next, we take a picnic lunch to the park. We're far more interested in eating our parents' sandwiches than our own, but end up spitting out the chewed-up bites all over the benches and ground when we find it's not that tasty, after all (we're helping by feeding the birds, but Mama just picks up the bits and throws them away -- silly Mama). We insist on holding our own Nutella & banana sandwiches, then smear them liberally all over ourselves before abandoning them, uneaten (Mama paid $5 for that sandwich -- silly, silly Mama)! We play frisbee with Mommy -- lots of fun! -- and Jack takes a break to eat dandelions (at least those are free).

Later, we show our parents how we can climb up onto the chairs in the playroom all by ourselves, and pretend to eat nicely from our little play bowls. We exhibit surprisingly good manners and good appetites that do not translate at all to actual mealtime, when our real dinner is not so much eaten as it is toyed with, fed lovingly to the dogs and finally thrown forcefully to the floor.

A full and busy day accomplished, we sleep peacefully in our little beds...lulling our parents into a false sense of security, letting them believe that we will NOT, one day soon, learn to hop out of our beds and run amok (silly, naive parents)!
