We spent Easter upstate, and got their little baskets all ready for Sunday morning discovery: bunnies, plastic eggs, cookies-on-a-stick. But when Aidan began to turn red and blotchy soon after waking up, we hesitated...and minutes later, when his eyes became itchy and his face started to swell, we grabbed the bunny from his basket and headed to the hospital. He had some sort of reaction, but the cause remains undetermined. The doctor prescribed Benadryl and prednisone, and we resumed basket festivities after a long nap and a good lunch.
