Thanksgiving day

We took a nice walk before Thanksgiving dinner, on the little pier down at the end of Van Brunt. NY Harbor is in the background. The boys loved being set free from the stroller to walk along the (closed in, very safe) pier and investigate. Afterwards, it was back home to a delicious meal. They tried a little of everything: turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, candied yams, stuffing, broccoli gratin, cranberry relish and pumpkin pie. We spared them the brussells sprouts this year. They seemed to like dining with flowers and candlelight, Christmas carols playing in the backround (my favorite radio station for the next 2 months will be the one playing non-stop holiday music...poor Deb).
Aidan spent much of the dinner pointing to the candle and telling us not to touch it because it was "hot, hot". He gets very serious and wide-eyed, whispering "ta-TOT! ta-TOT" when we talk about not touching things like candles, ovens and radiators.
