The boys saw Dr. Sergiou last Friday for their monthly wellness visit. Both are doing extremely well, healthy and developing normally. Big Man Jack is now 24" long and weighs 14 lbs, 12 oz. Aidan weighs in at 12 lbs, 7 oz and measures 23" long. More shots this time: DPT and Polio, which really hurt -- they still have the little bruises. Moms didn't cry this time, but babies did, of course. Actually, Jack cried a lot more than Aidan did -- the doctor told us the bigger twin is always wimpier! (are pediatricians supposed to say stuff like that? good thing they can't understand him yet...)
New developments this past week: Jack has found his feet, and he can't believe his luck! He'll spend a long time sitting in our laps, leaning forward and listing slightly to one side, just gazing at his wiggling toes. Wiggle, stare, wiggle, stare, and so on. Aidan has no use for sitting -- he wants to stand! His favorite thing is to be held upright on a lap while he practices standing and balancing. He just gets so happy about it.
