Rain gear

New raincoats and boots were put to use today after a very rainy morning: we headed to the waterfront for puddle jumping.
The boys were excited to finally be outside, happy to feel the wind in their hair and quite thrilled to be able to hold their own juice container with a real straw. It was a great time -- I love just being outside with them, talking about everything we experience, seeing the world through their eyes. They've discovered that there are different types of birds: seagulls are different from pigeons, which are different from chickadees, etc. It's pretty cool...
Aidan, holding up his bagel to the sky:
"Dee-doo, ear! Nack! Dee-doo, ah you?"
"Seagulls, here! Have a snack! Seagulls, where are you?"
