We're a little underdressed here -- didn't realize it was quite that cold. Time to pull out the Fall jackets we bought in Spring -- they'll finally fit.
Aidan looks a little down in these pics...they were taken on Thursday, when he just started showing signs of a cold. Now he's pretty sick, with a fever, cough and runny nose. We've had one nighttime call to the pediatrician's answering service already -- it's hard to stay nonchalant, what with H1N1 virus running rampant and everyone just a little confused as to how worried we should be.
Stupid weird, dangerous flu-- we can't even relax and say "oh, poor baby, it's just a cold". Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. But no parents are sleeping well until "it" is all gone and the baby feels better.
Stupid weird flu.
* UPDATE: Aidan's feeling a little better as of Sunday - fever is gone! Now, it's poor Jack's turn...he's miserable. Needless to say, Deb & I are both sick, but we are so used to having to work through it all -- when we opened the daycare, we realized that we'd never again be able to spend a "sick day" recovering in a warm, comfy bed. For the past 10 years, a sick day just means you feel awful while you are working, and you eat soup for lunch. Those last months of pregnancy were the most rest I'd had in years...
Let us know if we can bring over any soup for moms! Hopefully the fresh air upstate will cure everyone.
