A nice weekend in late June
We trekked into the city to see a free performance from the real Gordon & Elmo from Sesame Street (the studio where they film it is here, so it follows that the actors would be available). It was hot, and the performance was not really that great...kinda disappointing. The boys, who were all excited to see the show, didn't even want to stay after 10 minutes or so -- probably too hot outside in the bright sun. So we ducked into a nearby place for milkshakes, and found an awesome playground/water area on the way back to the car. Afternoon salvaged!
The next day, we went bug-hunting in the little Urban Meadow in the morning, followed by a quick trip to the grocery store and nearby pier garden in the afternoon. The boys played with their little (well, she's quite tall, really...but the same age) friend, Adaline.
