




Okay, so they were crawling in July, then pulling up to stand shortly thereafter. And for the past week, Aidan has been pulling up, then letting go and balancing on his own, arms up in a "King of the World!" pose before he plops back down, laughing. And Jack is surfing from chair to chair to toy to Mama, etc, in a cute little sideways shuffle. But now it's getting serious. Now, we are walking. We are pushing our Little Tikes dump truck in front of us, but we are still making our way in an upright and Frankenstein-ish fashion across the room. And apparently, we are determined to continue this alarming trend of learning new skills and growing up into real live boys. Mama is sorta proud, but mostly terrified.
Aidan's pretty keyed up about practicing this new and dangerous mobility, while Jack isn't that excited about walking, yet -- he's easily distracted by more important things. For instance, when the friendly turtle pillow enters his line of sight, he forgets all about walking and stops to give turtle a kiss...
