Swinging

Sometimes we walk over to Carroll Gardens, where there are attractive, pleasant shops that people actually enjoy entering (hurry up, Red Hook: the demographic has changed and you need to keep pace!). We usually stop at the library and at Carroll Park, a cute little park that packs a lot of play space and relaxation area into one small city block. Here the boys are enjoying the toddler swings...this is the very first time that I let go of the side of each seat and was confident enough to actually "swing" them (gently, of course). Aidan absolutely loved the freedom - he laughed and shrieked - and started to squirm in protest anytime his swing slowed down. Jack enjoyed the swinging, but the big draw for him were the three babies he met on the swings next to his...he's always very interested in other babies, and often initiates a baby meet-n-greet.

Sorry, image quality is iffy at best with my cell phone camera...I have to look for our old small digital camera to take on outings...
