Visiting Fort Delaware

We took the boys to this local historical recreation of a colonial-era fort/village in Narrowsburg. Fort Delaware is like a bite-sized version of Colonial Williamsburg, staffed mostly by enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers. Both boys liked exploring the village and seemed to understand that this represented the way real people used to live long ago. Aidan was especially enthralled by the musketry demo, and is still talking about muskets and cannons.
