A rainy Tuesday morning and we needed to be out of the apartment for a few hours: cue Open Play for Tots at Upper 90, a cool new soccer store/soccer school, about 5 minutes away from us in Boerum Hill. Aidan had the time of his life -- running up & down, kicking and throwing the ball (not quite clear on the rules, no big deal at 2). The absolute best part was the way he yelled "Yay, Nay Nay!!" over and over again as he unashamedly cheered for himself and his amazing abilities :) Jack enjoyed himself in a lower key, until more toddlers and their parents arrived...then he suddenly became shy, and wouldn't run or kick anymore. In one photo, you can see Aidan bringing over a ball, encouraging Jack to get up. He would not. We'll try again sometime soon, to see if he will relax a bit.
